The color of the fragrances depends upon the ingredients and processing of the perfume before it is bottled. All perfumes are made up of natural or synthetic fragrant oil extracts diluted in water or high-grade alcohol.

The dilution of these oil extracts determine the strength of the fragrance which, in turn, exacts the lasting power of the scent. For men we also we have the information on colognes and masculine fragrances. Eau de Toilette and Eau de Cologne are generally interchangeable, in Men's fragrances.

The different fragrance strengths are, Eau de Cologne which is least concentrated with fragrance lasting up to one hour only. Next is Eau de Toilette that is concentrated with fragrance lasting up to two hours and the third one is Eau de Parfum, concentrated with fragrance lasting up to three-four hours and finally Perfume or Parfum Classic which is highly concentrated with fragrance lasting up to five to six hours.
